Updated Streets and Sidewalks page

This is the 5th weekly update on the
construction progress of the Sunset Street Wide Sidewalk project. Due to the rain last weekend, and the on and
off rain scattered throughout the week, the only items completed last week were
a few tree removals and the installation of one utility pole by
Mid-American. Therefore, the contractor
(and Mid-American Energy) is planning to focus this week on the same items that
we listed from update #4 below.
Also, with today being the last day of
school, the south section of the project (Oakcrest to Benton) will be available
to the contractor beginning tomorrow (6/4). The contractor may get to this
section of the project this week by closing the sidewalk and beginning removal
of existing sidewalk.
On another note, the first University
Heights Farmer's Market is this Tuesday, June 4th from 5pm - 7 pm at St. Andrew
Church. See attached poster for
additional information.
